Reports To: Head of CRE Debt Team Key Responsibilities: - The candidate will be exposed to real estate portfolios, complex capital structures and detailed cash flow modelling assignments.&nbsp; - The candidate will be required to understand the deal structure, laying out the complexities and thereafter onboard the deal working with smaller groups. The activities would involve reverse engineering the UW model, analyze historical information, identify data gaps and ensure quality delivery of the project. Below are some of the responsibilities that the candidate will be expected to perform: - Work directly with the clients in supporting them for various investment transactions for real estate, NPL portfolios and other bespoke equity/debt modelling requirements - Build and audit financial models for complex capital structures, special situation financing and performing/non-performing loan portfolios - Create credible, flexible and fully transparent financial models for commercial real estate assets (office, industrial, retail, hotel, multifamily, care homes, etc.) - Ability to read and accurately extract useful modelling inputs from documents such as information memorandums, rent roll, valuation reports, facility agreements and other legal reports. - Provide support for asset management reporting, financial due diligence, post-deal analysis and business planning. - Support the client in their specific needs for ad-hoc analytics, portfolio monitoring, surveillance and reporting. Required Skills: - Basic understanding of commercial real estate space, underwriting and various capital structures. - Ability to understand the deal dynamics from the legal documentation provided and decode capital structure. - High level of proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel; ability to write VBA code is a plus. - Good attention to detail and a logical thought process to analyse large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data - Ability to work independently and manage smaller groups to ensure timely project completion. - Strong written and verbal communication skills Desired Candidate Profile: - Candidate should be a graduate from top tier management/engineering college. - Exposure to alternate investment space, especially real estate is desirable.
