The Associate Brand Director functions as the lead creative contact for clients under his or her supervision, guiding the creative product of the agency and inspiring excellence by producing flawless, industry-advancing work. The ideal candidate has high-level creative skills including strategy and art direction, and an off-the-charts digital IQ. The Associate Brand Director must have passion for social media and excitement about new technologies.

Core responsibilities include:

- Monitor and manage all aspects of daily client performance

- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients; escalate, track and solve client issues

- Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and client business needs

- Design imaginative layouts with a keen sense of typography, layout, color and photography. Maintain layouts through art and copy revisions.

- Ensure creative brand vision by employing strong communication materials with dynamic creative judgment

- Research and maintain creative reference library, design, typography, fashion and culture and current trends

- Direct all phases of creative work for major accounts from concept through production

- Responsible for inspiring and motivating creative teams and accountable for developing and directing creative work of the highest caliber

- Responsible for mentoring and leading assigned creative staff and being available to critique their work to maintain consistent creative quality and award winning work

- Helps Creative Director manage the creative staff, as well as helping to review staff

- Participates in many new business development efforts, leading creative teams

- Maintains active list of vendor resources i.e., writers, designers, photographers, and Flash developers

- In charge for the concept and design of social media creatives, email communications, banner ads, mobile applications, and other social promotions

- Responsibilities would also include: creation of logos, creation of formats and comprehensive layouts, creation of mood boards, manipulation of references for presentation purposes, release and shipping of files. Projects may also include digital ads, new media and various promotional materials

- Delivering formal and informal presentations to clients as well as internal team members

- Review internal analytics, digital trends, and competitive intelligence, and liaise with appropriate internal teams to identify ways to improve our web presence

The ideal candidate should have:

- 7 to 10 years- experience in experience in an agency setting, working on interactive projects such as client web sites, online advertising, social media, video manipulation etc

- A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, online advertising, interactive commerce and the creative process is required

- Strong sense of typography and design essential

- Photo art direction experience with a strong emphasis on fashion

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills

- Proven people management, team and leadership skills

- Advanced conflict-resolution and negotiation skills

- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced environment, and negotiate and collaborate effectively at an advanced level.

- Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios

- Experience producing high quality digital communications including web and email design; mobile and social a plus along with a solid creative portfolio that features website and digital design work

- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is essential, expert knowledge of web design and email best practices,knowledgeable of current design trends, including responsive design best practices, working knowledge of Dreamweaver and basic HTML/CSS skills

- Degree in graphic design, digital arts, visual arts, or equivalent experience in related field; portfolio (focus in online/digital) demonstrates a high level of taste and detailed refinement
