Job Summary :

Your role will be to draft, negotiate, and support the legal teams based in APAC with respect to the financial products transactions undertaken by the organization globally by drafting and negotiating mid and high complexity contracts and other legal documentation.

You would have to ensure high quality of drafts and negotiations, identify the gaps and bridge the gaps with innovative and out-of-box thinking. You would also be responsible for building capability and capacity within the system that encourages an SME culture and environment.

You will be drafting, reviewing and negotiating high complexity contracts and producing documents, relating to these transactions and your role will involve you liaising directly with the front office . In your role, you would be responsible for delivery, process, and client management.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Drafting and negotiating among others, ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support documents, Global Master Repurchase Agreements, Master Netting Agreements, and all other relevant documentation and subsequent amendments for various derivative products.

- Reviewing constitutional documents, legal opinions, memo and ensuring that all requisite corporate consents and approvals are in place prior to finalization of agreements and subsequent trading and netting.

- Liaising and coordinating with the Risk Division of bank and other internal departments as necessary. Additionally, to input client and contract data into bank's systems and update when required.

- Assisting in special projects such as contracts review and contracts abstraction.

- Front-line resolution of escalated business specific issues across assigned project areas.

- Building a strong relationship with the client, understanding their needs and business operations and working very closely with clients to improve their satisfaction.

- Understanding business and regulatory requirements and ensuring functions are being performed in those requirements.

- Providing training and guidance to others on the team in relation to work, performance and development.

- Leading knowledge management process and culture.

- Reasonable understanding of MIS to building capability and capacity within the system and domain.

- Tracking progress through periodic performance benchmarking exercise.

- Constantly finding ways and means to improving the efficiency, productivity.

- Building redundancy and doing succession planning.

- Creating a culture of harmony and meritocracy for higher retention.

- Thinking out-of-box and providing solution.

- Expanding the current business by adding more portfolios and developing depth by driving an SME culture.

- Make presentations to higher management on different issues.

- Planning for business continuity.
