Associate/Analyst - Financial Reporting - Asset Management Company

JOB TITLE: Associate- Financial Reporting Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Financial Reporting Analyst / Associate is responsible for helping to support the broader financial reporting team, and ensure that our financial statements are SEC, GAAP and SOX compliant for Apollo Global Management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR:

- Preparation of quarterly Earnings Release, Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K filings for Apollo Global Management. Specifically:

- Preparation of footnote and MD&A disclosures

- Collection and analyses of non-GAAP metrics and fund performance data

- Validation and documentation of financial statements support

- Assist in ensuring that the filings are SEC, GAAP and SOX compliant

- Assist in maintaining a sound SOX controls environment and ensuring proper documentation of our SOX processes

- Continue to advance and improve workflow surrounding financial reporting process with a focus on automating and streamlining processes

- Manage the maintenance of our data collection systems, financial reporting software, general ledger reports and document retention systems

- Maintain and track deliverables, working closely with a number of departments within Apollo including the legal entity controllers, Treasury, Tax, and SOX Office to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely accounting information and analysis, and the production of high-quality financial reporting

- Prepare and draft commentary on quarterly variances of financial results for senior management

- Assist in the preparation of peer analysis

- Ad Hoc requests and special projects as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: (Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge)

- Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and at least 3-6 years of experience, ideally in the investment management or financial industry

- ICAI or equivalent qualification

- Individual must have strong drive and initiative

- A forward-thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards

- Proficient in Excel

- Superior verbal and written communication skills

- Proficiency in OneStream, Hyperion Essbase and Workiva a plus

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to coordinate across the firm to improve business processes independently

- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

- Role requires individual to be flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously

- The ability to take on a task and - run with it- to conclusion is a critical characteristic of this role

- An inquisitive mind with ability to ask questions to keep tasks on time
