We have been retained by our client, a well-established, professionally managed General Insurance Company with international affiliations to identify an Assistant Vice President - Strategic Planning to be based at Mumbai. Job Purpose: - To design a path for the growth and profitability amidst competition and constant change. - To track industry and competitive trends, develop forecasting models and scenario analysis, examine strategic performance, spot emerging market opportunities, identify business threats, look for novel strategic solutions, and develop creative action plans. - To focus on markets and technologies to develop new strategies that capitalize on the growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - To analyze and evaluate internal business plans. This involves financial forecasting, market analysis, competitive intelligence analysis, looking at M&amp;A proposals and feasibility analysis. - To conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness. - Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the plans, pointing out material negative deviations and recommending prompt corrective actions. - Allocation and management of sufficient resources (financial, personnel, operational support, time, technology support). - Responsible for specific tasks or processes to specific individuals or groups. - Manage the process. This includes monitoring results, comparing to benchmarks and best practices, evaluating the efficacy and efficiency of the process, controlling for variances, and making adjustments to the process as necessary. - When implementing specific programs, acquiring the requisite resources, developing the process, training, process testing, documentation. - Prepare and maintain Customer information to provide different cuts when required by business teams. - Provide MI reports pertaining to profit, loan balance, expense, deposit position, RM incentive submission to regional office, deal pipeline, business forecast, regional quarter end reporting, balance score card update, offshore volume and profit reporting, etc. Desired Skills: - Excellent communication skills. - Flexible and Adaptable. - Problem solving ability. - Able to dialogue with people from all ranks in the organization. - Excellent leadership skills. - Good presentation skills. - Ability to work in teams. - Independent, and self-motivated. - Enjoy variety and new challenges. - Ability to stick with a problem until it is solved. - Good analysis and computer skills.
