Assistant Vice President - Social Impact Incubation

Job Description:

- To design, develop and implement incubation and acceleration programs aimed at making Startup Oasis as the most preferred hub for social and impact sector startups in India

- Work closely with social enterprises as part of the INVENT program of Startup Oasis (details given on http://startupoasis.in/invent.php) and connecting them to mentors for necessary value addition and support.

- Plan and organise capacity development and knowledge workshops for portfolio startups and social enterprises.

- Work closely with impact investors in the sector for joint scouting, incubation, acceleration and funding activities

- Develop strong relationships and networks with social support organisations in the state like NGOs, CSRs, social institutions and the government.

- Design and develop incubation and acceleration programs in conjunction with support organisations like the government, non-profit sector, R&D labs, mature social enterprises and corporate CSRs to provide necessary support to startups in sectors like agriculture, water, livelihoods, crafts, rural supply chains, rural energy etc

- Should be able to make the impact incubation function financially sustainable with funding from CSRs, grant making organisations, tie-ups with impact investors and other programs

Qualifications & Experience:

- 6 to 8 years of social enterprise / rural startup experience and / or experience in an impact funding organisation with familiarity in social entrepreneurship processes and methodologies

- Additional experience of having worked in the developmental sector and familiarity with the impact sector in Rajasthan would be an added advantage

- Experience in making investor pitches and familiarity with fund raising documents like term sheets / share holders agreements.

- Should have a good understanding of mobile / internet technologies, though the person need not be a technology specialist.

Skills & Competencies:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially presentation skills

- Ability to empathise with social startups and having a keen understanding of startup challenges

- Should be passionate about promoting social entrepreneurship and impact startups in Rajasthan and making Rajasthan as the - most preferred place to launch a social enterprise-

- Should have prior experience in making grant proposal and non-profit funding with familiarity with frameworks like Logical Framework Analysis (LFA), Output Outcome Impact Analysis etc
