Designation- Assistant Vice President - Risk Management & Analytics
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Delivers non-core operational risk and control efforts for WLS.
Efforts include and are not limited to:
- Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns and outcomes of decisions
- Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
- Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display results
- Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data
- Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
- Monitor internal and external data points that may affect the risk level of a decision
- Provide process risk and controls expertise on WLS Technology related efforts
- Data Quality risk efforts
- Change Management
- Maintain the WLS Process, Risk and Controls strategy and approach for continuous improvement and evolution of controls and risk management
- Lead various special risk and control projects as assigned that support WLS functional teams, CB Controls and other key stakeholders in ongoing efforts
- Deliver accurate status reports and appropriate risk reporting for monthly reviews and other reporting
- Maintain awareness of significant risk and control issues within the business and integrate as appropriate into efforts.
- Maintain awareness of significant changes impacting the business, both internally and externally, and ensure appropriate actions to accommodate or address within ongoing efforts
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics , finance or another business-related degree
- Understanding of loan products or commercial banking, a plus
- 9+ years of financial services experience in a similar company or related field
- Proficiency in R, SQL, Python, or other scripting language is required
- Knowledge of Business intelligence solutions, a plus
- Solution-oriented, strategic thinker; balances understanding of business requests with delivery mechanisms
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
- Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
- Strong organizational skills including ability to manage multiple projects / activities at a given time
- Ability to focus on the key issues and drive initiatives to conclusion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience preparing executive-level presentations
- Knowledge of risk management tools, preferable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced ,Excel, Access, etc.)
