Job Title- Assistant Vice President

Location- Mumbai

Role Description :

- The Chief Risk Office (CRO) division is responsible throughout the Group for management and control of all credit, market and operational risks, and the function consists of managing, reinforcing and protecting the Bank's capital, integrity and reputation by making a solid structure and supportive infrastructure available.

- Chief Risk Office (CRO) Divisional Control Office (DCO) is responsible for Internal Control and Governance across Risk Types.

This is a Lead role (AVP / Associate), to perform activities, act as SME and perform oversight across Regulatory Adherence, Findings Management, Risk & Control Assessment

- The candidate is required to demonstrate Leadership and strong Stakeholder management skills.

- The candidate is required to demonstrate very good understanding of Risk Management.

- The individual as SME will support the CRO DCO Head of Regulatory Adherence in ensuring that the core regulatory adherence process is properly executed and well governed.

- The individual as SME will support CRO DCO's efforts to identify, analyse and report the non-financial risks of the CRO Function, thereby ensuring that Group and Functional standards are consistently applied.

- The role will have full exposure to all areas within CRO and requires working closely with a variety of stakeholders.

- The role has considerable scope for professional development, both as the Divisional Control Team continues to grow and evolve and due to the broad understanding of Risk that will be developed through the work undertaken.

Your key responsibilities:

- Leading Findings Management, Risk and Control Assessment and Regulatory Adherence team from Mumbai.

- Ensure complete understanding of end to end Regulatory Adherence process and framework.

- Ensure high quality reporting across CRO Findings & Closure Management

- Review and risk relevancy assessment of regulatory items assigned to CRO.

- Review and preparation of monthly and quarterly packs for Findings and Regulatory Adherence process.

- Leading cross risk items related to regulatory adherence.

- Support the CRO DCO Head of Regulatory Adherence in strategic initiatives, such as key application upgrades or adapting to restructures.

- Supporting the implementation of the CRO Inside Information control framework, through oversight of the quarterly key controls. Testing the controls, reviewing exceptions, co-ordinating remediation activities.

- Support delivery of other Functional risk review processes such as the Integrated Risk and Control Assessment, Top Risk Reporting, Anti-Financial Crime Questionnaire, SOx Senior Officer Checklists and Transformation Risk Assessments.

- Analysing findings and risk data, including production of relevant MI or escalation of issues.

- Provide ad hoc data analysis requests.

- Supporting the development of the Functional control framework, including enhancements to the controls inventory and related processes.

- Supporting the development of standards the risk assessment.

- Providing meeting materials for CRO Function forums on non-financial risk management.

- Oversee a team supporting Risk Reporting, Governance and Assessment

Your skills and experience :

- Strong understanding of Non-Financial Risk

- Good understanding of Risk Management activities and internal control frameworks.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret and analyse data.

- Strong stakeholder management skills.

- The ability to successfully navigate a complex organisation, build strong relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across the bank

- Very good Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
