Assistant Vice President - Purchase - Agro Chemicals

AVP - Purchase in MNC Agro Chemical Company

1. Total Purchases of Agro chemical Raw Materials/ Packing Material for uninterrupted functioning of the factory.

2. Adequate experience on Planning / Budgeting / Policy guidelines for purchase of RM / PM to meet production plans

3. Handle procurement cycles, lead times and purchasing requirements within overall business process of acquisition of goods, and minimization of response time while ensuring needs are met in a timely, satisfactory and cost effective manner.

4. Must have direct experience with procurement volume of more than 300 crores of Agro chemical RM & PM.

5. Efficient Purchases based on facts & figures.

6. Evaluate & support in Negotiations of purchases.

7. Set up material planning rolling forecast system in coordination with production heads.

8. Vendor development, approval & rating.

9. Interface with Quality Assurance for Vendor Selection and qualification

10. Control cost by continuously pursuing and exploring cost reduction opportunities like Strategic sourcing activity, price re-negotiation, opportunity buying, alternate vendor development, material substitution, packaging material cost reduction.

11. Set up quality parameters both in terms of materials & logistics.

12. Negotiate best suppliers, quality, prices & service providers

13. Coordination & follow up with suppliers for timely execution of factory orders.
