Title : Operating Leader (Assistant Vice President) Function : Operations PURPOSE OF THE ROLE : - To lead the operations of the direct procurement team and meet/exceed business objectives of the same. SCOPE OF THE ROLE : Will lead : 5-10 managers and senior managers with a total work force of around 100-150 people Will report to : A service delivery leader Interactions : Managers of the client organization, vendors, employees across several functions and levels. QUALIFICATION : - Minimum of 13+ years strategic sourcing, service and category management experience with at least 8 years in a leadership position - Experience in procurement of turbine components for example Pre-Fabricated Piping, Control compartments, Batteries, HVAC, Inlet duct, Exhaust Ducts, Stack, Filter housing, Dampers, Structures, Firefighting system, Grating, HRSG non-pressure Parts andother Power Plant equipment and systems like Lube oil skids/base plates/Load Coupling/ Small Machines parts. - Experience in procurement function of large power generation projects will be added advantage. - Ability to perform market trend analysis, external benchmarking, spend analysis, supplier rationalization and development, supplier risk, performance, compliance monitoring, and ongoing supplier management and governance - Experience leading large teams and driving year over year cost savings across multiple indirect spend categories. - Extensive experience running Procurement practice - Domain knowledge of direct procurement in heavy manufacturing space (industries: Aerospace, automobile, O&amp;G, Energy etc) - Experience in Leading Procurement and Allied functions of large Project organization in Oil &amp; Gas / Aviation / Infra / Energy Sector desired - Experience in Award of Contracts, Logistics &amp; Commercial Areas - Experience in Global sourcing - Experience establishing complex sourcing strategies and executing to plan - Ariba / eSourcing knowledge is a good plus. - Experience of working with global teams. - Strong communication skills (must)
