Role - Assistant Vice President
Department: Risk & Compliance
Experience (yrs) - 9yrs+ PQE
Span of Control: 2 - 5
Qualification - CA/MBA/ BE/Btech/Cisa/Disa/FRM
Primary Responsibility:
- Responsible for establishing a robust control environment as part of day to day operations by managing performance of risk management and compliance assurance related procedures. This includes identifying and analyzing issues and then proactively taking mitigation steps.
- Undertake risk assessment process that produces key business risk universe or register for assigned business/operations area
- Ensure critical documentation like Operations Standard Document (OSD), BISRA (Business Information Security Risk Assessment) etc. for all assigned client areas is updated and live at all points of time.
- Responsible for implementation of controls in operational areas as defined by OSD, contractual requirements and the policies. Liaise with other corporate functions for implementation of the policies and procedures.
- Monitor risks & controls. Identify/report exceptions and action plans.
- Establish reporting mechanisms with senior management on issues related to risk and compliance.
- Consolidation & reporting of KPI, KRI, results/action plans of monitoring activities to operating/functional heads, second line of defense and Corporate Audit team.
- Ensure awareness and trainings on key risk and compliance aspects (L&D trainings, corporate trainings and other external/internal trainings).
- Own the - Compliance Self-assessment- exercise by ensuring it is carried out within timelines and issues highlighted are closed within timelines.
- Facilitate timely closure of issues identified in internal/external audits/reviews.
- Support organization level improvement projects on risk management and compliance assurance. Lead the projects for assigned business/operations area.

- Timeliness of Compliance Self-Assessment - 10%
Role/ Responsibilities

- Overall accountability for risk and compliance related issues for assigned business/operations area.
- Consolidation & reporting of KPI, KRI, results/action plans of monitoring activities to operating/functional heads, second line of defense and Corporate Audit team.
- Supporting Senior Management in developing compliance culture across assigned client areas.
- Supervise junior staff assigned and providing guidance and overall review of deliverables.
- Responsible for self-assessment process for assigned business/operations area.
Competencies & Skills
- Chartered Accountant / MBA (Finance) / CIA.
- Strategic mindset with good knowledge and experience in risk/compliance/audit related areas in reputable organization/s.
- Good logical reasoning and reasonable analytical skills.
- Well-versed with accounting standards and company laws, internal audit methodologies, SOX requirements, Internal Control Framework like COSO etc.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
