Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead team to generate revenue growth as per the business plan - design target & achievement plans; assist team in meeting the yearly revenue targets & review their progress regularly
- Understand customer requirements and market conditions to generate ideas for new businesses or product enhancement/development
- Responsible for retaining existing customer base by ensuring their funds are put to good use
- Develop and improve sales analytics to monitor and track sales performance through a CRM
- Providing on-ground leadership to engage with top retention accounts
- Driving the sales cycle/process by understanding the customer buying process and needs; focusing on solutions; seeking to understand the challenge; utilizing a consultative approach; and obtaining customer commitments
- Work with Marketing & PR team to drive in-bound requests for proposals
- Work closely with the implementation team in terms of driving deep engagement with all stakeholders, resulting in better retention of clients and upsell/cross-sell of products.
- Play a significant part in attracting, identifying and recruiting talent and keeping them engaged and motivated.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Attitude:
- Demonstrated track record of managing multiple revenue streams and growing revenues by 50% CAGR
- At least 10+ years of experience in building and leading high performing sales teams
- At least 15+ years of experience in B2B sales (including cold-calling, seeking appointments and doing meetings, proposal writing, finalizing contracts, winning repeat business)
- Global sales experience is preferable. Experience in categories targeted at children is an added plus
- Knowledge of Education Products, International K-12 experience, Government and/or Education sales will be very helpful
- Some experience in business operations and how it works in a customer environment would be desirable
- Excellent Presentation, Communications, Networking, and Negotiation Skills
- Lead and Mentor teams, and set high performance/growth targets and holding self and others accountable.
- Ethical, and strives for excellence and quality
- Travel extensively (10-15 days a month) to meet new customers, existing clients as well as field visits on the ground
- Fluent verbal and written communications in English with ability to independently write high-quality proposals
- Commitment to learning (adaptive to new tools & technology)
- Experience with revenue targets of ~50-100 Cr
- Should have ideally demonstrate stability and worked with the same company for more than 3 years.
