Assistant Vice President - Enterprise Data Management

- The business analysis and data quality team plays an extremely key role in delivering various strategic projects for the firm. It is a key strategic initiative which includes but not limiting to Data Validation and Integrity project as one of its important deliverable.

- Data validation and Integrity project involves identifying, analyzing and re-mediating critical issues in the master sources for EDM. The team supports projects across, Entity, Books and Product data domains.

- The core responsibility of the team is to provide solution on the potential issues identified by the various stakeholders in the firm and provide a turnaround time to be able to resolve the issues.

- Data Validation is about making sure that all data (whether user input variables, read from file or database) are valid for their intended data types and stay valid throughout the application that is driving this data.

- Data Validation will ensure that the data has undergone known degree of compliance to the applicable quality acceptance criteria.

The key components include but not limited to :

- Scoping of all the issues

- Documentation

- Risk and Control

- Data Diagnostics

- Data Remediation

- Root cause analysis

- Data Reporting

- The team also maintains Data Dictionaries across all domains for EDM and have a strong governance process around managing the data distribution process to the respective consumers within the firm.

- The team also works with DMO in providing inputs on defining the data management policies and standards and ensure these are implemented and followed within the operations.

- The team as part of various projects interacts with various departments within the firm not restricting to Legal, Compliance, Middle Office, Technology etc. The team continues to strive towards improving the current process to be in line with the organisations goals & objectives.

Role & Responsibilities :

Key Skills :

- Ensuring that their respective Business Division / Business Function (Functions)

- Performs Gap Analysis between their existing processes & policies and the Data Management Policy Framework.

- Ensures that the function have appropriate resources and structure to provide feedback to DMO on the gap analysis / remediation plan / implementation of remediation plan.

- For all the Data Objects where the relevant function is identified as a Data Owner, ensure that the Business Glossary is completed including the Data Ownership Model.

- Facilitate creation of operating models within functions Review and sign off on Final Data Management Standards.

- Finalize a transition plan for - go-live- from Program mode to BAU mode, including identification of BDOs / BDCs

- Ensure that the function have appropriate resources and structure to meet the requirements of DMO as per the Target Operating Model

- Ensure their respective division has an established process for reporting metrics

- Provide the necessary attestation to meet material compliance to BCBS principles

- Participate in the relevant governance forums to ensure their divisions are aware of the firm wide activities relating to Data.

- Periodic review of Data Dictionaries across Book, Entity and Products.

- Automate KRI reporting for EDM.
