Assistant Vice President - Engineering - Internet/Mobile Products

We are looking for an AVP Engineer who is on the cusp of technology trends in the internet/mobile space and has experience in building scalable internet and mobile products. In this role, you will be driving the Technology strategy and leading the ground web, data science, and app teams. You will need a Growth hacker mindset and understanding of how internet products are built and scaled up.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Drive technology strategy

- Identify opportunities and risks for the business from a technical perspective

- Communicate the company's technology strategy to partners, management, investors and employees

- Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and company operations

- Drive technology architecture meeting scale-up requirements

- Lead on ground web, data science, and app teams

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree

- Modern application development, with a minimum of 9 years of experience in Technology.

- Experience with Web Services and Building Technology Team

- Application development using Java and 2 years of People Management Exp

- Strong Technical Expertise in Java, Spring Projects-Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Cloud, Git, Maven, REST and SOAP

- Experience in developing micro services with 12-factor app methodology

- Experience in Agile application development and familiarity with tools like JIRA

- Experience in continuous integration environments and using tools like Jenkins

- Good Experience in writing unit and integration tests and familiarity with frameworks like Junit, Mockito, and Spring Test

- Strong desire to develop high-quality code with the ability to review and leverage quality check tools like Sonar, PMD, etc.

- Familiarity in designing an application using SOLID principles, Java and Microservice design patterns with business acumen

- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry

- Working knowledge in RDBMS

- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical peers

- Cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization

- Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact, and resolution options
