Job Description:

The role involves handling disclosures for SEC purposes, reporting for Federal Reserve Bank, accounting, month end close, for GFC - LEC (Global Financial Control - Legal Entity Controller) for Global Markets business

Responsibilities

GFC - US LEC Assistant Vice - President position includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities :

- SEC reporting for 10-K and 10-Q (including Fair Value of financial instruments, Derivatives and Collateral)

- Submissions for Federal Reserve Bank reporting requirements

- Liaise with Global Markets Finance teams to gather and analyze information

- Make presentations to senior management

- Ensure accurate and timely submission of disclosures information

- Ensure compliance with SOX controls

- Liaison with internal and external auditors

- Identify and escalate control issues, errors and efficiency opportunities

- Analyze and understand legal entity general ledger balances

- Support ad hoc projects

Requirements: 

Mandatory Skills : 

 Education - Chartered Accountant (CPA a plus)

 Experience Range - 12+ years in finance, accounting, financial reporting

- Sound knowledge of financial products (derivatives, swaps, interest, bonds, credit, etc.) and strong accounting skills around financial instruments

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary as the position requires global correspondence and communication with associates throughout the Bank of America footprint

- Proficient in use of Excel

- Driven to learn and develop new skills

- Self-motivated and independent having a control mindset

- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver as well as being able to adapt to changes

- Able to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment

Desired skills : 

- US GAAP experience

- Strong computer skills and Oracle/SAP experience

- Emerging Technologies including Alteryx and Tableau

Work Timings:

12:30 pm to 09:30 PM IST (Flexible on month end)
