About our Client - Our clients is one of the largest global Banks with demonstrated strengths across Corporate Banking, Consumer Banking and Investment Banking. They are looking for an Assistant Vice President- Big Data who would lead the initiative on Big Data vertical for their PLCC business
Job Description - As an Assistant Vice President, you would be a part of the Leadership team and play a role in defining strategic direction for the group. In addition, you would be responsible for :
- To clearly formulate analytical hypothesis Perform ad-hoc analysis to support it, communicate results clearly, and understand cause & effect relationships
- Help develop a state of the art MIS infrastructure using process automation tools Interface with clients to design data driven analytic and reporting solutions primarily using SAS, Unix, & Cognos
- Identify reporting developed in SAS to be transitioned to Cognos and build long-term roadmap/vision for a reporting platform based on Cognos and SAS
- Leverage appropriate technology to develop solution (coding, testing, data retrieval and data analysis).
The Successful Candidate - As a successful applicant you should have:
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, MIS, Math, Statistics, Engineering) required from top tier institutes like IITs, IIMs, DSE
- 5+ years of experience in Big Data and Machine Learning techniques
- Strong analytical skills in conducting sophisticate analysis using bureau/vendor data, customer performance data and marketing data to solve business problems
- Skillsets like SAS, SQL, UNIX, Excel pivot tables and other MS Office tools
- Credit card industry experience especially in an analytics would be preferred
