Role :

- Lead the design, development and delivery of a variety of processing functions to provide support and strategy to Global Operations in order to provide a first class service to both internal and external clients.

- As a member of the Senior Management Team, contribute to the development, planning and review of strategic goals and objectives so that strategic and operational plans are aligned and corporate and functional business plans are delivered and managed effectively.

- Lead, manage and motivate the Trade Processing team and all associated resources and systems to ensure the capability exists for it to work effectively and in close co-operation with colleagues in other functions/operations to meet business needs and deliver strategic objectives.

- Ensure a robust control environment is created, managed, maintained and continuously developed within Trade Processing operations in order to minimize risks and exceptions in addition to maintaining an on-going compliance with regulatory standards.

- Co-ordinate the provision of high quality services to internal and external clients ensuring effective issue resolution and maintenance of an in-depth understanding of client expectations so that client satisfaction and service excellence can be continuously enhanced.

- Ensure a robust management information and reporting infrastructure exists within Trade Processing to support continuous monitoring and review of performance. Decision making authority extends to all areas of the specified business area, but which do not impact the overarching growth centre strategy.

- Joint decision making authority exists with business line management for changes to processes and services as they evolve.

- External Clients, Investment Managers, external auditors, regulatory bodies, vendors. Internal - Senior and operational management within each regional office, IT, Product Management Group, Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, Finance, Audit, Compliance, Treasury, downstream operational areas and operational staff for which you have responsibility.

- Experience in the financial services industry, of which a preferred minimum of 5 years will have been in a senior line management capacity.

- Proven track record in change management would be beneficial.

- Proven track record in business process re-engineering (optional).

- Prior business planning experience.

- FSA industry qualifications an advantage (and enrollment into the FSA T&C scheme will be mandatory).

- Business Graduate highly desirable.

- Ability to understand and interpret securities trade processing systems.
