Assistant Manager - UK Tax

Key responsibilities -

- Preparation of UK corporation tax compliance requirements including tax returns, quarterly installment calculations, and Corporate Interest Restriction filings.

- Assisting with the preparation of information to provide to overseas tax advisers.

- Preparation of half-yearly and full-year tax provisions and associated reporting schedules.

- Preparation of UK statutory accounts tax workings and disclosures.

- Preparation of group Effective Tax Rate (ETR) calculations and forecasts.

- Assisting with the preparation of group R&D and capital allowance claims.

- Supporting with Transfer Pricing and Country by Country. Reporting requirements and filing obligations.

- Assisting with the preparation of the group's PAYE Settlement. Agreement (PSA) calculations.

- Supporting with the preparation of the group's Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) filings.

- Assisting with managing relations and enquires with HMRC and other tax authorities.

- Supporting the team with tax governance and other ad hoc tax matters as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Qualified CTA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) with relevant experience of 4.5 - 6 years PQE.

- Knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance.

- Understanding retail tax issues is useful, but not essential.

- Strong working knowledge of Alpha tax.

- The ability to meet deadlines, and solve problems with strong analytical skills with detail orientation.

- Comfortable dealing with employees from different parts of the business.

- Knowledge of other taxes is beneficial.
