Assistant Manager (US Payroll Specialist)

- Monitor timesheet submission to ensure timely payroll processing

- Export data from the timekeeping systems and prepare the payroll data in excel sheet.

- Track rates, compensation, benefits and deductions, new hire information, and all other details pertaining to employee information

- Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records

- Research, calculate, and issue allowances to expatriate employees; appropriately record allowances based on taxability

- Work alongside the Project Accounting Manager, and international team with payroll processing questions for international employees and field offices

- Prepare On-Boarding documents for new employees

- Maintain reports in Microsoft SharePoint shared drive.

- Respond to team member inquiries on timesheets, benefit deductions, and other payroll matters

- Set up new employees in timekeeping system

- Review and process accurate year-end reporting, such as employee W-2s

- Develop ad hoc reporting as needed

- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualification And Experience:

1. Graduate with Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience as payroll specialist & solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices

2. Proficiency in Microsoft office and Adobe Acrobat

3. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices

4. Experience with international and expatriate employees

5. Excellent communication skills

6. Understand appropriate taxation of employer paid benefits

7. Strong organisational skills, with great attention to confidentiality
