Assistant Manager - SAP Payroll Processing
- Payroll is a key role in an organization to ensure employees are paid correctly on time and all relevant taxes and other dues are calculated and paid on time to the statutory bodies.
- Assistant Manager - Payroll & Compliances manages and administers Payroll of the assigned group companies as part of the shared services and ensures compliance and accuracy in monthly Payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate payroll processing for employees and ex-employees
- Timely Statutory Compliances for all payroll & allied processes
- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently
- Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
- Compiling information related to earnings, deductions, taxes, leave, and non-taxable wages and reporting on the same.
- Preparing ad hoc payroll financial and operational reporting as needed
- Timely Documentation of processes and SOPs
MANDATORY- KRA's and Key Activities:
- Publishing & Reviewing the Payroll Calendar
- Administering monthly Payroll as per the business requirement through SAP
- Statutory Compliance for PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF, and Income Tax
- Stakeholder management with Business HR SPOC for all payroll and compliances-related activities
- Processing of Full and Final Settlement for timely payment to ex-employees and monitoring/reporting through dashboard/tracker
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/annual challans and submission of returns for Statutory payments (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Statutory Bonus and Income Tax).
- Reviewing payroll information for monthly financial closing and preparing provisions for the payroll, reimbursements, and statutory liabilities, Meal Voucher Order & Payment review
- Resolve payroll and compliances queries and do root cause analysis to mitigate system and process challenges, Monthly Review with Business on Payroll issues, Providing timely information for quarterly and year-end closing for Leave Encashment & Gratuity Actuarial Valuations, Bonus Payment calculations and monitoring, Business visits for payroll process improvements and new initiatives, LTA Process & Payment as per Policy, Income Tax Declarations review for payroll processing, Investment proof checking and validations for payroll processing through SAP
- Flexi Pay administration, MIS, Manpower & Salary Cost data, Joiners / Resigned / Exited Employees reconciliations and reporting for Payroll processing, Transfer In/Out employees reconciliation and ensure compliance to the group compensation policies and procedures, Reporting of Absenteeism and separated employees for full and final monitoring,

Educational Background and Work Experience:
- Commerce Graduate/PG
- 5-8 years experience in managing Payroll and Compliances independently for a mid-sized company (~ 3K employees) in the diverse business scenario.
- Hands-on experience in managing Payroll & allied Statutory Compliances (PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF, Statutory Bonus, Salary TDS and Gratuity) - Mandatory
