POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager - Sales Operation  BASIC FUNCTION :   This is a full time position and is primarily focused on working on sales operations for PAN India  ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:  The incumbent will report to Senior Manager- Sales operations of the company   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Sales Planning :   - Prepare the sales plan for the entire company- category wise, month wise, channel and customer wise.   - Ensure sales planning for additional sales opportunities & newer product lines  Demand Planning :   - Ensuring with Merchandising Teams that there is right inventory as per the sales plan.  - Acting as the conduit between sales and merchandising on various requirements, so as to ensure optimization of orders to delivery (both in case of pre-orders and replenishment order)  - Ensure smooth process of order placement by each channel for every season.   Order Management :   - Order taking - Pre orders and replenishment orders from sales and retail  - Ensure optimization in terms of delivery and overall order- customer prioritization  - Ensuring orders are in system for reporting and analysis  - Simplifying order management process, so that the process is smooth and optimal  Customer Service :   - Interface with Sales and Retail team and give them all required support for enhancing orders and execution of the same  - Giving all required details on dispatch, Free to Sell inventory etc  - Interface with Merchandising and buying teams for retail   - Interact with customers on information and reports required  - Orient the Sales operations team to achieve the above smoothly  - Coordination with Merchandising, Sales, Retail, Logistics and Warehouse Teams for smooth Supply chain and Sales operations  Inventory Management :   - Coordination with Merchandising and Sales Team to ensure that the inventory targets and benchmarks are met  - Ensure the liquidation of old inventory is done in the most optimum manner in terms of margins, payments and channel  - Ensure the targeted gross margins are achieved in respective categories in wholesale channel  Primary Sales :   - Ensure that the primary sales of the company is achieved as per the sales plan   - Day to day sales delivery as per sales plan  - Ensure with the sales team that all customers are cleared from the accounts department for billing  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL :   - Strong interpersonal and communication skills  - Must have hands on experience in order management, demand planning, forecasting  - Logically sound to derive co-relation between demand & supply functions  - Develop tools & systems to strengthen the ordering process & impart training.  - Team management skills  QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE :   - Post Graduate would be given preference  - A minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
