Assistant Manager - Product Control - Banking/Financial Services Domain

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- P&L Report production & Consolidation of P&L across regions.

- Knowledge of Hedge Accounting, production of Fair Value Hedge, Cash flow Hedge and Fair Value Option effectiveness Testing and related reports.

- Comply with IAS39, FIM, Sox and other policies while producing the Hedge Accounting related reports.

- Reconciliation of Hedge Accounting numbers, producing various reports to various stakeholders within Product Control and Finance.

- Acquire knowledge in banking / financial services domain.

- Identify opportunities for development and drive changes independently

- To produce accurate and timely MI on various P&Ls being generated in conjunction with the onshore teams.

- Good knowledge of Excel and Access including Macros

Skills And Experience -

Qualified Accountant (ACA/CWA /CPA /CIMA/CFA/CS) with 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience or MBA finance with at least 3+ years of experience in Product Control/Treasury Finance OR Accounting/Financial Reporting and reconciliations.

- Experience in Hedge Accounting, SOX compliance within US GAAP, IFRS and IAS 39 reporting framework would be preferable. Candidates who have experience in Hedge Fund Industry would also be preferable.

- Knowledge of Finance Product Control functions in a banking environment with exposure to Traded markets products

- Knowledge of traded markets Products like Equities, Future, Options and OTC Products like Interest Rate Swap, Cross currency swaps etc would be beneficial.

- Should be ready to work in any shift.

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to interact with multiple cultures.

- Excellent verbal and written business English - communication skills

- MS office proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Access

- Superior proficiency MS Excel/ MS Access will be an advantage
