Principal Syndication Loan Closer (Assistant Manager)

Job Designation : Principal Syndication Loan Closer (Assistant Manager)

Overall Responsibilities :

- Coordinate trade settlements in the Syndicated Loan Market: liaise with counterparties and administrative agents on primary trades, par and distressed secondary trades, equity trades and trade claims. (At Par Trades complex trades - Secondary/Distressed)

- Manage both settled balances and cash balances to schedule trade closings with counterparties.

- Prepare and review funding memos. Facilitate cash movement with appropriate operational contacts.

- Troubleshoot, escalate and solve problems that arise from trade discrepancies.

- Perform key administrative duties in the settlement process: onboard new clients through appropriate KYC channels, reconcile trade blotters, prepare audit confirms.

- Monitor and follow up on aged trades and unsigned documents.

- Manage amendments, non pro-rata paydowns, PIK events and restructurings: solicit votes where appropriate, communicate issues with counter parties, prepare spreadsheets with paydowns and delay compensation calculations.

- Perform other projects as needed

- Perform some basic or standard reporting and data mining when required (ad hoc)

- Block allocate or investigate trades

- Perform project and trading reporting - standard reports

- Block allocate and or investigate trades

- Manage team in the absence of Manager and also on a day to day basis if the team size is equal to or greater than 5 FTEs

- Interact with the NY and UK teams from an OPs perspective

- Train and take refresher trainings of new hires or existing team respectively

- Participate in client calls and close action items as required

- Drive all process SLAs and deliverables
