Overall Job Purpose
- Independently work on as well as lead projects in the areas of - Risk and Fraud Analytics, Customer Analytics, Digital Analytics, Distribution Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Operations Analytics and HR Analytics - for UK, Asia and US geographies
- Lead projects independently that involve
Statistical modelling (predictive analytics, forecasting, segmentation), data analysis and mining
Analytical solutioning skills
Pre-sales and business development support
- Core experience in predictive modelling preferably with Financial Services or E-commerce
- Manage projects independently and mentor and guide team members
- Manage Stakeholder Relationships
- People management for small function teams within Analytics vertical
- Expert in any one of: R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS
- Preferred experience in Risk or Fraud/neural network analytics or exposure with digital data
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Delivery
- Develop Statistical Models: Apply advanced analytical techniques such as regression modelling, time-series analysis, cluster & factor analysis and segmentation to create different models
- to understand and analyse customer behaviour and help build forecasting modes / propensity models to gain more insights into customer behaviour
- build risk scorecards- behaviour and application
- to understand distribution effectiveness of various channels - channel optimization
- to establish linkage between marketing effort spend and its effectiveness
- to forecast business volumes (e.g. product sales, transaction volumes etc)
- Contribute to product development through help in implement algorithms: These are user developed applications and are also built as part of the consultative engagement to analyze the specific hypotheses and as decision aiding tools
- Build Scorecards for Risk and Fraud.
- Develop analytical solutions: Develop solutions for interventions in other functions such as Customer Service, HR, Risk and Audit
Stakeholder Management
- Manage Stakeholder interactions by having regular updates and growing stakeholder engagement
- Meeting /exceeding quality and timeline expectations for all projects
- Design, plan and scope out projects with stakeholders
- Explain project methodology and project approach to required stakeholders
Project Management and Training
- Manage end to end deliverables of the project by adhering to timelines, project budgets and stakeholder expectations
- Ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures are followed where applicable and all relevant documents are updated
- Work with juniors on projects and coach them on-the-job
- Conduct in-house trainings on - Predictive Modeling, SAS, SPSS, Minitab, SQL, VB etc. depending on teams- requirements
People Management
- Day-to-day management and oversight for small functional teams within Analytics vertical. This would include
- People evaluation and program management
- Career counselling and coaching
- Workflow allocation within the team
- Escalation handling and management
Business Development
- Work with the Analytics Sr Manager and KS Business Development Manager / KS Head to develop pipeline for projects further through
- Assisting in writing proposals and presenting them to stakeholders
- Introducing the capability to the relevant businesses across multiple for a
- Develop personal in-depth relationship with key business leaders and ensure continuous inflow of Business-As-Usual and project work

Competence / Knowledge / Skills required
Required:
- 4-7+ years of experience in the Analytics / Quantitative modelling or closely related field
- Master's in Statistics / Operations Research / Econometrics / Financial Engineering or related areas with a Bachelor's in Engineering / Science / Statistics / Operations Research / Economics or related fields
- Expertise in a few of the statistical platforms such as SPSS / SAS / R / SQL /Python/ SPSS - Clementine
- Expertise in applying advanced predictive statistical techniques to develop regression, time-series, segmentation models. Exposure to design of experiments or neural network.
- Basics of database management systems
- Advanced skill in MS-Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Visual Basic for Applications for MS Office
- Ability to summarise and effectively present complex analytical insights, observations and recommendations to an audience using business language
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work alone or with limited supervision
- Responsibility and Attention to Detail - Take responsibility for delivery of precise and accurate analyses, models, dashboards and reports to tight timescales and work to resolve problems when they occur
