Assistant Manager - NSE Indices

To actively support in the creation, maintenance and licensing of new indices to external organizations or other exchanges.

Maintenance of indices

1. Compile information received from listing department on corporate actions; Implement changes as per suitable corporate action for proper maintenance of indices.

2. Calculate daily equity and fixed income indices using in-house application and disseminate indices to specific clients and upload into website.

3. Collate and review company filing, financial results and shareholding pattern on periodic basis for calculation of free float factor and various ratios and implement them in the system.

4. Review the annual reports of all companies listed in the exchanges to identify the company's economic activity and carry out sectoral classification and communicate to AMFI.

5. Calculate and provide MIS and other information at pre-defined periodicity and on ad-hoc basis to internal departments and external agencies (E.g. Regulators etc.)

6. Periodic review of equity, fixed income and customized indices. Make relevant changes for periodic rebalancing of indices as per decision of Index Maintenance Sub-Committee.

7. Process documentation (standard operating procedures, process maps, writing business requirements) etc.

Educational & Technical Qualifications

Essential - MBA - Finance

Technical - Proficiency in MS Excel (including writing macros)
