Mission: Help identify and create new store opportunities for growth
Should have project management experience
Key responsibilities:
- Build on network planning model to support store expansion plan:
Determine pockets of demand where new stores can be opened
Estimate top-line performance of new stores (number of transactions; average ticket size)
Track, renew and prioritize list of new store opportunities
- Identify TG consumer by store type, drivers for consumers, insights, segmentation and intelligence
Acquire, clean and manipulate data from various sources to help drive network planning objectives
Conduct on-ground studies to understand consumer behaviour and predict store performance better
Use data to identify new lines of new store opportunities
- Build intelligence and best practices from competition, industry (QSR, Retail), other SBX markets
Supporting responsibilities:
- Support annual planning processes by generating store pipeline and vetting with internal stakeholders
- Manage external data vendors and consulting agencies to ensure data needs are met
Required skill-set:
- Strong quantitative skills - ability to manipulate data well to arrive at desired outcomes
- Basic statistics (including basic regression, basic curve fitting, basic sampling statistics) - ability to review large amounts of data and quickly identify themes, patterns, flaws and anomalies
- High degree of comfort with MS Excel
- Good understanding of basic finance
- Previous experience in retail not required, but will be an advantage
