The key job responsibilities include the following:

The Marketing and Communications Assistant Manager is responsible for the implementation of communications plans for the Knowledge Services team. This hands-on role works closely with KS teams to develop collateral for global and targeted audiences, develop content for online and print publications, and promote the use of knowledge through traditional and social communication vehicles. Additionally the person will advise and participate in the design of Marketing and Communications collaterals and sites..

Role Specific

- Develop sufficient Marketing and Communications specific knowledge of terminology, organization and industry practices to begin writing and editing projects with minimal guidance in these areas

- Develop standard deliverables (e.g., communications, newsletters, presentations, brochures) and adhere to Deloitte Communications Design Standards and guidelines

- Provide creative Input / design recommendations and ensure brand and legal compliance

- Coordinate production and distribution of regularly updated communication vehicles such as websites, online newsletters, and email communications

- Participate in consultation with all stakeholders to clearly define requirements and deliver expected results

- Assess needs, write, edit, and produce internal and external communications content as needed

- Ensure compliance with legal and brand standards for communications as appropriate

- Establish and maintain processes to ensure consistent, high quality communications deliverables

- Contribute to KS Communications team projects as required

People Management

- Manage, mentor and develop other professional(s) in the areas of Marketing and Communications (prefer at least two years of people management experience)

- Engage business unit communications leads within KS to ensure an integrated approach to delivery on Marketing and Communications projects

- Effectively collaborate with internal service providers to successfully deliver communications products

- Respond to Marketing and Communications management expectations and needs in regards to communications deliverables

- Coach others within Marketing and Communications regarding internal communications best practices, strategies, and tactics

Knowledge Sharing / Documentation

- Report to Marketing and Communications leadership team on effectiveness of communications activities and plans monthly

- Align Marketing and Communications competencies, processes, and standards

- Identify opportunities to leverage messages or best practices in other Business Lines to improve content, quality and time to market for communications deliverables

- Share Marketing and Communications best practices, content with peers to identify, promote best practice sharing and maximize opportunities to reduce redundant messaging across organizations

- Contribute to the success of the KS Marketing and Communications through regular participation in discussions, sharing of best practices and development of resources contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of global communications

The key skills required are as follows:

- Ability to correctly prioritize, delegate and multitask work assignments with high standards for quality and performance

- Strong writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on quickly developing high-quality content for use in online communications.

- Expertise in working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) applications required

- Basic knowledge in Adobe design suite and audio/video editing tools

- At least two year of hands-on experience with one or more internet/intranet content development, multimedia development or image editing tools

- Experience creating communications content supporting online, public relations or internal communications plans, with a portfolio or work in at least two of these areas

- Ability and desire to stay current in industry knowledge, learning new tools and methodologies

- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at various stages of the project lifecycle.

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Strong organizational skills. Meticulous and Detail-oriented.

- Strong independent thinker and worker.

- Produce marketing and communications deliverables independently with little supervision.

- Demonstrated experience with global or large scale communications projects. At least two years of experience working as a member of virtual teams

- Works well under pressure.

4. Technology & Innovation -- This team provides SharePoint design & development services that include: DR site design, build, and maintenance, KAM queries, etc. across all KS customer channels.

5. Strategic Engagement - This team drives awareness and adoption of global knowledge sharing products and services and helps create a culture of knowledge sharing that meet the needs of our business. The Strategic Engagement team consists of two teams i.e. Awareness & Promotion and Creative Services.
