Assistant Manager/ Manager-fire and Life Safety
General Summary: Involvement in Fire and Life Safety and Health & Safety Risk Assessment of variety of commercial establishments including office spaces, warehouses, hospitality and hospital buildings and manufacturing occupancies.
Job Description:
Main Responsibilities:
- The role involves carrying fire and life safety assessments and Health and Safety assessments clients and prospects.
- Accurately analyze exposures at client locations from the perspective health hazards, life safety and property damage.
- Evaluation of in-house loss prevention procedures to ensure that the systems are maintained at all times.
- Obtain client understanding and agreement on the hazards/exposures discovered and their potential business impact.
- Design and manage training programme for clients.
- Budgeting and delivery responsible for assigned work and consultancy.
- Implementing standard processes and practices to manage various processes and data management and promoting Consulting Solutions products to various industry segments in India.
- Ensure that all service commitments are in accordance with Code of Conducts.
Special Skills:
- Familiarity with local market and market needs, knowledge of local safety standards, NBC, IS standards and international standards like OHSAS, NFPA preferred.
- Basic knowledge of safety related products like Health & Safety, Property Loss Prevention, Business Continuity Management, and Environmental will be a plus.
- Good communication skills with the ability to understand clients requirements and match services.
- IT literacy to include general office systems such as Word, Excel, Power Point (or similar).
- Enhanced written and verbal communication skills, includes report writing would be required
- Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision.
Qualification:
Work Experience: Preferably an engineer B.E. or B-Tech (mechanical/electrical/chemical) with work experience in fire and life safety, occupational health and safety, loss prevention and risk consulting/insurance industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Travel required (domestic and international travel c. 60-80 days/year).
