Asst Manager/ Manager Customer survey analytics
Experience : Min - 3 to 6 years
Location : Bangalore
Education : Master's Degree (MA, MS or MBA), M.Tech in Statistics / Market Research
Skillsets : SAS/SPSS/R with primary research 2.5 years and specifically survey research- 1 Year
- Working on data validation and processing of survey data
- Creating basic frequency tables/reports based on survey data, if they are aware of some programming languages that would be added advantage- C, C++, SQL, like Java, Java Script, XML, HTML, Flash and other multimedia.
Job Description :
Functional Responsibilities :
- He / She will be a key member of the Custom Survey Analytics team, responsible for carrying out development activities, executing analysis & supporting the delivery of standard and ad-hoc analysis requests for a large and continuous consumer survey
- Individual need to act as an SME across all the following end-to-end survey development, execution and delivery processes
Survey Design :
- Provide consultative support on study design, questionnaire modifications and sampling strategy
Survey Execution :
- Monitor survey while it is on field, follow stringent quality control process for data collected on a daily basis, partner with clients and/or external vendors in ensuring smooth execution of the project on an ongoing basis
Analysis & Reporting :
- Provide Analytics and Reporting support including data cleaning and validation, basic and advanced analytical reports, integration of survey data with transactional/ panel data to provide comprehensive insights and creating/ managing dashboards and reporting
- Proficiency in data manipulation/mining tools and highest comfort levels with data manipulation and extraction of meaningful insights from large data is required
- Expert level knowledge in SAS is required (SAS experience in a UNIX platform is preferable).
- Knowledge of SQL DBMS, MS Access and VBA programming is a plus
- Familiarity in any of the online survey programming and hosting tools like ConfirmIT, NEBU, Survey Monkey, Kinesis etc. is a definite advantage. Knowledge in app based survey tools will be an added advantage
- Ability to understand and apply segmentation algorithms to the survey data
- Should have strong analytical and statistical skills- with familiarity in statistical processes such as correlation analysis, cluster analysis, factor analysis, and regression to be able to support others on the team
- Proactive identification and problem solving skills
- Dedicated to quality, responsiveness with a focus on processes and efficiency
- Manage day-to-day delivery independently and in collaboration with clients by obtaining specifications, required clarifications, and eventually presenting results/findings to the clients on an ongoing basis
- Being creative in identifying new techniques and processes to streamline and increase efficiency and effectiveness of current work-streams is a plus.
- Strong project management skills and high levels of attention to detail.
- 3 - 6 years of consolidated experience in development and analytics, preferably in Survey Research. Must have worked on a range of primary research studies like Customer Satisfaction, Consumer Segmentation, Usage and Attitude, Brand Perception etc. Must have worked/ managed longitudinal/ diary studies in primary research
- Programming languages: advanced to expert proficiency in R, SQL, SAS, IBM SPSS
- Conceptual understanding of at least one of the major statistical methodologies including Sampling, Regression, classification, clustering, significance testing, analysis of variance
- Familiarity with longitudinal and ad hoc survey data analysis.
- Strong familiarity with Statistical Programming packages and Spreadsheet/Analytic packages and the technical basics of data tabulation
- Have an analytic bent of mind and excellent data interpretation skills. Experienced in working with a non-technical user base to develop technical solution
- Should have medium to high proficiency in MS-Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of VBA Macros will be an added advantage.
- Should have basic knowledge of market research & any specific knowledge on retail and FMCG/CPG industry will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Panel data processing will be an added advantage.
- Experience/ knowledge in Java Script programming, XML, HTML, Flash or other multimedia is good to have
- Experience in using charting/reporting and the visual display of data.
