Assistant Manager/Manager - Compliance - Retail - LLB/CS

Position : AM/ Manager-Compliances (Leading Retail Company)

Role :

- Managing regulatory affairs of the business corresponding with various central, state and local government departments, to get licenses/manage inspections/adjudications etc. under Food Safety and Standards Act, Essential Commodities Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Municipal Corporation laws, Legal Metrology Act, labour laws and other laws affecting retail trade operations

- Handling legal compliances of the company and other group entities

- To provide solutions to compliance issues, in-house, wherever possible

- Liaise with other regional teams for implementing legal and compliance programs concerning data protection laws, commercial laws, competition laws and all business compliance laws

- Implementing and taking charge of the legal compliance program of the company

- Research on key issues relating to laws affecting the company.

- Responsible for drafting notices, plaints / replying to legal notices on behalf of the organization

- Liaising with autonomous bodies to ensure Statutory Compliance procedures

- To handle company secretarial activities

- Liaison / Filing of IP / licensing related legal requirements with the competent authorities

Requirements :

- LLB/CS with 8 to 15 yrs of experience in Compliances in a Retail/ FMCG/ Food/ QSR Company

- Must have the Knowledge of Regulatory Law, Corporate law, Regulatory matter, Service matter, Litigations, Settlements, legal strategy, Licenses, petitions, etc. relating to the Retail Industry

- Good understanding of handling compliances under Food Safety and Standards Act, Essential Commodities Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Municipal Corporation laws, Legal Metrology Act, labour laws and other laws affecting retail trade operations

- Good skills and experience in liaising with autonomous bodies and various central, state and local government departments
