Assistant Manager/Manager - Commercial Analyst - 4-5 years - Mumbai
One of our clients a tier-one law firm is looking to hire a Commercial Analyst with 4-5 years of experience for their Mumbai-based office.
Job Description -
- Work directly with lawyers to develop budgets and pricing proposals.
- Develop reports and perform analysis on budgets and phase/task data.
- Assist in monitoring budget compliance and pricing policies
- Manage the firm's knowledge base of pricing and alternative fee proposals.
- Analyze client requirements and outside counsel guidelines.
- Conduct data analysis on existing engagements to help to drive understanding of matter/client realization.
- Fully develop scenarios & models to assess the financial impact & profitability of pricing proposals.
- Assist in the development of creative, workable pricing solutions in response to client demands, including alternative fee arrangements.
- Assist in developing pricing databases and prepopulated budget templates to improve the firm's ability to develop accurate budgets, including performing data analysis & research on historical matters to determine cost ranges.
- Stay informed of current pricing trends with the legal market & apply learned concepts to help improve the firm's pricing capabilities.
- Prepare concise reports to assist commercial head in accessing the effectiveness & financial impact of pricing proposals.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of related experience in a professional services firm (IT/ Consulting MNCs, Tier 1 Law firms or Big 4 Audit firms)
- 3-5 years with pricing of professional services preferred, which includes a strong working knowledge of non hourly pricing models.
- Advanced financial analysis skills and ability to apply this knowledge to large volumes of data to reach meaningful conclusions.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills & relationship building skills, with ability to interact effectively with lawyers & firm professional staff of all levels.
- Strong technical skills including a high or expert level of proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Ability of learn, leverage & use additional programs, including budgeting & financial management software.
- Ability to work independently & be proactive.
