Assistant Manager - Logistics - Automotive

The Logistics Assistant Manager will schedule all inbound/outbound shipments, provide leadership to the logistics execution team and strive to keep transportation costs low. The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining trackers of shipments in transit.

- Scheduling and coordinating inbound and outbound shipment to / from the manufacturing location at Manesar(Gurgaon)..

- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs.

- Creating trackers to build a transparency into the supply chain so that all stakeholders are updated on the status of various shipments moving around.

- Build efficiency into Container / Truck utilization and monitor total cost of shipping

- Manage the overall cost of packaging.

- Hire, supervise coach and train the execution team for logistics.

- Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per customer's criteria.

- Comply with the laws and regulations .

- Proficient in MS Office packages
