Title : Assistant Manager Legal
Location : Mumbai
Experience: 2+ -7 years
Qualification: LL.B.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Dispute and Litigation; Drafting and reviewing of legal notices, petitions, affidavits, applications, replies, submissions and other legal documents and correspondences
- Handling litigations like writ, arbitration matters, recovery matters, Labour disputes, Criminal matters, consumer disputes, pre-litigation mediation etc.
- Briefing to the external counsel and coordination/follow up for litigation matters of the Company Represent Company and its officials before authorities, police, etc.
- Advising litigation strategies and managing high stake litigations Contracting, drafting and reviewing of legal documents, negotiations, etc.
- Advising senior management on various legal topics / issues, impact assessment and risk mitigation plan Formulation of policies and processes for efficient functioning of legal department
- Co-ordination and follow-up with various internal and external stakeholders for completion of assigned projects Expectations
- Extensive experience of writ litigation and arbitration proceedings
- Create & meet cost / budgets for your functions.
- Handling dishonor of cheque/ECS cases, Arbitration matters, SARFAESI proceedings, recovery Suits in civil court/ DRT, execution proceedings, criminal cases, consumer cases etc
- Filing and handling legal matters in various courts including NCLT/NCLAT, High Court
- Handling and management of Litigation Management
- Rendering legal advisory on regulatory issues
- Providing legal advice to other department(s), as and when sought
- Drafting, vetting and negotiation of credit, collections, vendor and securitization related documentation for retail portfolio
- 360-degree litigation management
Key Skills & qualifications:
- 2+to 7 years of PQE experience post LL. B
- Awareness and understanding of corporate laws, commercial transactions, regulatory and litigation related to Real Estate industry.
- Knowledge and experience with special reference to IBC Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, and police matters
- Impressive Knowledge of English and good oral/written communication skills.
- Should have led a prior experience in a litigation firm in India or a MNC legal department.
- Sound grasps of basic legal knowledge and concepts.
- Reading and interpreting Legislation/Statutes/Regulations under various Legislations.
- Aptitude for smart work with challenging work with ability to interact with business leaders and domain experts.
- Good research skills.
- Adaptable and willingness to learn and seek guidance to resolve business situations / circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills (written & spoken).
- Punctuality, pleasant disposition, and collaborator.
