Job Description

1. Non-Litigation Assignments

a. The candidate should be well versed with contract laws, Intellectual Property laws, corporate laws and domestic laws related to financial services and securities markets.

b. Should have prior practical exposure in independently drafting, reviewing and negotiating various kinds of business and commercial contracts and documentation.

c. Should have prior experience in advising and providing legal support to various business initiatives, and reviewing internal corporate policies, processes and documentation to ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.

d. Should have practical knowledge of Intellectual Property laws and practical exposure in dealing with trademark and copyright issues, including infringement matters.

e. Will be required to brief and liaise with external lawyers / counsels for various legal assignments.

f. Will be required to monitor legal developments in the market which may affect business operations and provide appropriate legal advice and support in relation to such issues.

g. Will be required to liaise with relevant internal departments for identification of legal risks and providing legal roadmap to mitigate such risks.

h. Will be required to assist in providing legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to various internal stake holders.

2. Litigation Assignments

a. Should have prior exposure in handling and attending various courts and forums in India.

b. Should have prior exposure in drafting/review of plaints, petitions, legal notices, replies, written statements, notices of motion, appeals, applications, affidavits, briefing and liaising with external lawyers / counsels.

3. Rule making

a. Should have general awareness about changes in the laws, Rules and Regulations having an impact on the business operations of the Company.

b. Should have initiative, strong self-motivation, and a proven capacity to work in a newly established team with a result-oriented approach and hands-on execution capability.

4. Process improvements and system developments

a. Implement the initiatives designed for process excellence.
