At present we are having a position for ASSISTANT MANAGER - HR for a leading manufacturing company based out of KOLKATA CORPORATE OFFICE.

Open to travel at least 2-3 weeks in a month.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Purpose:

This position is primarily responsible for providing support in implementation and monitoring of HR processes for direct and indirect employees, mainly for employees based at customer locations.

For direct employees it includes, employee life cycle management, employee engagement activities, HR ERP systems and Manpower planning while for indirect employees the responsibility includes contract management, recruitment, capability building, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee engagement, statutory compliance etc. This position plays an active role as a business interface for the Sales function.

Direct Reports: Nil

Key Result Areas:

- Enabling business processes to achieve its desired outcome through continuous administration of the contract management activities, which includes cost analysis, statutory compliances and adequate manpower deployment in the customer locations.

- Assist in contract finalisation, negotiation and manpower deployment in contracts. Contract MIS management

- Drive trainings at Sales Locations.

- Assist business with timely talent acquisition and filling up vacant position

- Provide HR leadership in driving initiatives with the indirect supervisors in order to achieve identified goals and excellence in people, process and performance as a team.

- To plan and map training needs identification, conceptualization, design and implementation of customized training initiatives for all indirect employees of Sales in coordination with line managers.

- Responsible for ensuring compliances as per statutory norms and bridge gaps, enforcement of disciplinary action as and when required and maintain liaison with govt. and non govt. bodies for organizational benefit.

- Ensuring Budget adherence and providing data related to budget preparation

- Exercise leadership in HR processes like Employee Confirmation, Employee database maintenance in SAP, HRMIS & HR systems for all employees.

- Design & drive employee engagement activities for all category of employees across locations. To ensure the consistency of the recognition program on quarterly basis at the workmen level through site teams and adequate communication of the event to highlight the achievement.

- Ensure adherence to health and safety compliances related to health management database, periodic health audit and health check-up of all the people in Sales function for both direct & indirect employees

Qualifications:

Science or Commerce Graduate with MBA / Post Graduate Diploma in HR from a good institute.Good education background

Experience:

4 - 6 years of relevant industrial experience in HR function in a large/medium size organization.

Knowledge:

The position requires knowledge and understanding of most of the core HR processes, like Recruitment and Selection, Training & Development, Performance Management, basic Compensation & Benefits, Payroll Statutory matters at operational level. The position also requires adequate exposure to some of the Industry's best HR practices and should be well conversant with various statutory compliances related to IR. Exposure in handling large volume of contractual workforce and contract management will be preferred.

Skills & Behaviour:

The incumbent should be an effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, listening skills and strong team player demonstrating high level of empathy, integrity and assertiveness. He should have proven leadership skills and be a quick learner possessing enthusiasm to gain further knowledge and upgrade new skills. An out of box, proactive thinker with genuine problem solving attitude is required. Excellent verbal/written communication skills (English, Hindi) is mandatory.
