Assistant Manager - Financial Services - Life Insurance (3-9 yrs)
Job Description:
Senior Accountant - Band 5
Shift timings: APAC (9 am - 6pm IST)
Depending upon the business needs may require stretching beyond normal working hours
Responsibilities
- Handle month end closing, prepare journal entries.
- Review journal entries.
- Ensure the monthly financial reports, reconciliation and analysis are prepared timely and accurately.
- Prepare IFRS 17 booking, reconciliation and reports.
- Assist in annual audit.
- Support ad hoc matters as assigned.
- Involve in the UAT of specific enhancements to resolve Dual reporting issues as well as data gaps that we have identified.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports as required.
Eligibility
- Degree holder in Accounting or equivalent.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- At least 3 - 5 years experiences in accounting.
- Must have experience insurance accounting.
- Excellent MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint must) skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent in written and spoken English.
- Experience in SUN, Oracle, SAP accounting is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and influence others.
- Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity within a complex organization across a variety of functions and across various level of management
- Possesses a growth mindset with willingness to challenge the status quo and try new approaches
- Demonstrated strength and ability to design and implement processes and standards
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
