Purpose of Role: You will be working closely with deal team members in India as well as other finance functions across Hong Kong, China, India and UK. This role supports the investment team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, India. This role has diverse responsibilities which includes deal financing, deal structuring, corporate governance, portfolio management etc. Key accountabilities: Assist investment activities and portfolio reporting: - Portfolio tracking, performance and risk management involving strong statistical analysis, working with the portfolio company CFOs - Act as the contact person with portfolio companies' Finance Departments - Based on portfolio companies' monthly or quarterly financials, board reports and KPIs for quarterly reports, analyse companies' performances and financial variances; perform valuations on portfolio companies on a quarterly basis - Assist in the preparation of reports: LP Report, NAV Report, Partners Report - Closely working with portfolio companies on bank-related matters / issues; regulatory changes etc. - Assist new investment and divestment process - Liaise with Fund accounting team in Bermuda on investment activities, funding and exit timing - Draft internal investment policies and procedures Financial and Management Reporting: - Closely working with Finance team in Gurgaon who is responsible for book-keeping and accounting for the managing companies - Interface with Finance teams of UK, HK and Tokyo, F-Prime Capital and FMR - Prepare annual budget and forecast as well as quarterly management company performances (budget vs actual) - Oversee T&E policies and processes to ensure compliance with company policies. Financial and Tax: - Oversee and responsible for tax filing process for portfolio companies at the end of a sale process - Coordinate with auditors on the year end statutory audit of funds (on fair values of underlying portfolio companies) - Coordinate the annual tax compliance related matters (PFIC, CFC) with PwC - Liaise with Company Secretary (Sydney) on company secretarial matters (e.g. change of director, audited accounts approval) as required - Others / Projects Required skills and experience: - Qualified chartered accountant, 2-3 years' post qualification experience - Direct experience preforming valuations and sound financial modeling skills. - Experience in Private Equity / Venture Capital is desirable - Fluency in, and the ability to present in, written & spoken English - Detailed and advanced understanding of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Proactive; articulate; understanding of accounting issues; detailed-oriented; commitment to high standard.
