Position Overview:

As the Assistant Manager Finance for a footwear brand, your primary responsibility will be to assist the finance manager in managing the financial operations and processes within the organization. You will play a key role in ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic decision-making to support the brand's growth and profitability. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis to provide accurate and timely information to management.

- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

- Prepare financial models and forecasts to assess future financial performance and risks.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and targets.

- Collaborate with department heads to gather inputs, track expenses, and identify areas for cost optimization.

- Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and provide regular reports to management.

3. Financial Operations:

- Manage day-to-day financial activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.

- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.

4. Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor cash flow, including cash position, liquidity, and forecasting.

- Implement strategies to optimize cash flow, manage working capital, and minimize financial risk.

- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for banking operations, loan arrangements, and other financial services.

5. Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and company policies.

- Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, including the preparation of necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.

- Identify areas of improvement in financial processes and implement best practices.

6. Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

- Work closely with the finance manager and provide assistance on special projects, financial analysis, and ad-hoc requests.
