Assistant Manager - Finance - BFSI/Consulting Firm

Department Summary :

The Group Finance is responsible for maintaining effective controls over books and records of the MAS licensed company in the global equity, fixed income and derivatives trading, as well as handling various internal and external reporting requirements of various legal entities.

Position Description :

As a member of the Finance System and Transformation Team within the Finance Department of Asia's leading investment bank and securities firm, the Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective financial systems and processes and related controls.

Job Responsibilities :

- Maintain data, interface, mapping and process knowledge on various financial systems and provide support on static data creation and change coordination

- Act as a primary administrator of all e-banking platforms within the Finance Department

- Work closely with Finance teams in the different location as a primary administrator or coordinator of various financial systems and static data including Essbase, posting engine rules, Concur, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.

- Support month-end closing activities involving various finance systems

- Active participation of various stage of finance projects and initiatives and other group projects impacting finance

Skills and Experience :

- Good understanding of accounting and basic business processes (e.g. P2P, T&E claim, month-end closing tasks around ERP systems, etc.)

- Experience in market-leading Cloud solutions is a plus (Concur, NetSuite, Oracle EPM Cloud, etc.)

- Understanding of Hyperion Essbase will be an advantage.

- Logical, detail oriented, organized and willing to learn new technology. Inquisitive and proactive in identifying challenges and proposing solutions.

- Self-initiative, fast learner, creative and innovative with excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with good business acumen.

- Ability to build rapport with co-workers/colleagues in Global Finance team based out of Hong Kong & Singapore.

Educational / Professional Qualifications :

- 5 years of relevant experience, 2 years with project management experience would be advantageous..

- Experience in supporting SAP ERP application is a plus.

- Bachelor's or Masters in computer science, Business, Finance, Banking or related discipline.

Any Additional Requirements :

- Strong Communication skills capable of working with different levels of staff from all the Asia Pacific Countries.

- Good interpersonal skills and excellent written/oral communication skills.
