Position: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager/Manager

Function: General Insurance Reserving

Reporting to: Head of Actuarial-reserving

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Reserving

- To support the process of review and report the monthly reserving for various General Insurance lines of business. Communicate clearly all findings and significant movements in any of the portfolios to finance and all key stakeholders every month.

- Responsible for the quarterly and annual BAP IRDA reporting tasks and annual regulatory submissions

- Responsible for timely delivery of any other regulatory and shareholder reporting or analytics requirements

- Responsible for annual and quarterly Asset liability management assessment

- Prepare the annual financial condition report and economic capital computation

- Work with all the teams in developing the reports in the system

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

- Ability to work with minimum supervision and problem solving ability

- Completion of tasks on time and at desired standards including documentation and audit trails

- Accuracy of results and comprehensiveness of the reserving model/reports

- Liaise with other members in Claims team and accomplish other projects that are assigned from time to time

- At least 3-4 Actuarial exams cleared

- Minimum prior experience of 2 years working in the reserving team of a general insurance company.

- Awareness of competitive landscape in the Indian General Insurance market and IRDA regulations would be an added advantage

- Experience of statistical analysis software like R, SAS, SQL Server will be an added advantage
