Assistant Manager - Demand Planning & Freezer Procurement (FMCG Organization)
Job Purpose :
The position holder will be expected to strategically strengthen Demand and Supply Planning, S&OP processes and freezer procurement. He/ She would interact with the Regional Sales Force/ Warehouse team & manufacturing team to collaborate the forecast and work on various Supply Chain improvement initiatives
Job Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the demand planning elements, forecasting process by working closely with the sales, marketing and the regional team, and S&OP process,
- Develop statistical forecast model, using SAP - APO to identify the historical outliers
- Responsible for reporting and analysis of forecast accuracy on a monthly basis & working with regional sales/ supply chain teams to develop two-way communication driving improvements in forecasting
- Manage the communication flow for all the consumer promotions & new product roll outs to ensure on time product introduction & post launch support in interfacing with marketing, sales & supply chain.
- Liaise with Contract Manufacturing & Third Party Vendors for sourcing of Finished Goods as per replenishment requirements
- Aggregate Production Planning for all In-House Manufactured products
- Ensuring Supply Plan accuracy & monitor the compliance for improvement in schedule adherence
- Responsible for Inventory Norm Management process & ensuring inventory is maintained within targets.
- Monthly analysis of the slow moving and obsolete stocks (SLOB) and developing liquidating plans with business teams
- Ensure regular meetings of demand and supply planning, pre - S&OP and MD S&OP with the respective channels
- Data analysis from the MIS and ERP systems to enable decision making on a daily basis
- Support in developing a stronger and robust deployment process and information sharing system
- Responsible for freezer procurement, deployment, vendor development, PO to the vendors, follow-up with vendors/sales for the dispatches
- Develop processes to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction on freezer after sales issues
- Develop process to assess vendors basis KPIs and take remedial actions to ensure corrective actions
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience :
Functional Skills :
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or in a supply chain related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Demand & Supply Planning preferably within a vertically integrated FMCG organization
- Excellent Microsoft Office skill including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point
- Knowledge of ERP - SAP and MIS systems is an asset
- Should have the basic knowledge of SAP - APO to identify the historical outliers, developing statistical forecast model with the correct forecast technique
