Assistant Manager - Costing (Cement Manufacturing Company)
Job Description:
1. Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database, Construct data accumulation systems
2. Review JEs carefully for anomalies and other inconsistencies
3. Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management
4. Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
5. Assist the Staff Accountant with suggesting changes to policies or procedures to increase cash flow
6. Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy changes to improve numbers
7. Classify costs accurately and Determine fixed costs
8. Generate PPV reports and analyze findings
9. Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
10. Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets
11. Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors
12. Plan and record variable costs and Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
13. Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
14. Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
15. Analyze and report profit margins and variance analysis
16. Prepare (monthly, quarterly, and annual) cost forecasts 1
