Role name and description :
- Supervising Associate, Communications and Engagement, Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC)
- We're looking for a communications professional - with extensive experience in storytelling on new age channels - to create and curate compelling stories - about our people and the workplace to truly represent our brand and the organization.
- We work with our stakeholders to build awareness about the workplace experiences; to bring to live how we are delivering our promise on the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) - as we build a better working world for our people, clients, and communities. We work to engage our people and build a high performing culture; and to build the commercial value and emotional resonance of he and the brand.
- We work in a fast-paced, global environment, to deliver integrated marketing and internal communications programs. We are responsible for campaign design and content development for a variety of internal channels to contribute to, and lead programs that help people understand GDS and enhance our reputation in the market.
The opportunity :
- We are looking for an experienced communications professional who can develop stories to inform, engage and inspire multiple audiences.
- You must be able to strategize, execute and deliver internal communications campaigns and be responsible for creating corporate content.
- You will work with a variety of stakeholders to create engaging communication products.
- We need someone with expertise in storytelling across multiple mediums including but not limited to written, audio and video platforms.
Your key responsibilities :
- Curate culture stories from the various campaigns that are held across GDS Operations and GDS Talent functions including Corporate Responsibility - across all the GDS locations.
- Understand the audience and create story boards and other appropriate messaging.
- Partner with the BMC leaders (both internal and external) in positioning these stories across the various channels.
- Understand effective use of different channels and execute quality deliverables.
- Use metrics and measurement tools to analyze the impact across the channels, making modifications where necessary.
Skills and attributes for success :
- Excellent copy writing and editing skills as well as strong verbal communication skills.
- Experience in story telling through audio-visual mediums.
- Creative, innovative thinking.
- Advanced listening and interpretation skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong deadline-orientation and ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time accordingly.
- Ability to collaborate, team and network across a matrixed organization.
- Inclination to ask the right questions to understand the target audience, business problem, solution, and the impact.
- Willingness to break silos and connect through dialogue.
- Strong stakeholder management experience.
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills.
To qualify for the role, you must have :
- 5-7 years in content creation and feature writing.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or working experience in Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
Ideally, you'll also
- Be passionate about using story telling as a medium to communicate
- Have experience in working with cross functional and also cross-cultural teams
- Understand audience segmentation
