Job description:

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Perform detailed reviews of Excel financial models under supervision as part of a review team, arrives at preliminary conclusions and prepares a report of findings in a standardised format (client-deliverable standard)

- Develops advanced skills in Excel and uses model auditing tools and other software packages (where appropriate)

- Builds or modifies Excel financial models based on specifications provided by one of our core modelling teams

- Manages own time to budgets and communicates progress against plan to assignment manager

Competencies / skills:

- Have excellent knowledge of accounting principles and finance

- Have a sound grasp of MS Excel; a natural interest in working and learning to use it to an advanced level

- Be able to document complex technical issues to non-technical staff

- Have strong interpersonal skills

- Coach and mentor team members on technical skills and soft skills

- Have an eye for detail and be able to work under pressure

- Have excellent written and spoken English skills, and be able to discuss and reason complex technical issues

- Actively promote the sharing of knowledge within the group

- Be organized and structured in the completion of tasks

- Contribute pro-actively to building team spirit

- Act as a counselor for four-five team members (CAs and MBAs)

- Participate in goal-setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees

Job Specification:

Education & Experience:

- MBA/PG Diploma (Fin) with 4-5 yrs relevant experience

- Prior experience of financial modelling, financial planning, corporate or project finance would be a distinct advantage

- Programming skills in Visual Basic for Applications would be beneficial
