Assistant Manager - Audit Assurance - CA

Qualified Accountant (CA) with Minimum 3 years of post qualification exp.

- Experience in Statutory Audit/Fund Accounting

- Excellent communication skills

Job purpose :

- Your main objective is to lead teams of Associates and Advanced Associates, who will carry out routine substantive and controls-based audit testing for the Assurance Services clients.

- Key challenges for this role are to ensure that this team provides high quality results to the onshore team, often to a tight deadline.

Your client responsibilities :

- Direct fieldwork daily, inform supervisors of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.

- Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.

- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.

- Liaise closely with the onshore team to create a strong communication channel.

- Discuss questions and queries promptly with onshore team, and address issues as they arise.

- Compare efficiency of audit procedures performed across different clients and suggest ideas for improvement.

- Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's business.

- Bring potential opportunities for extending the work performed by the team in Bangalore to the onshore team's attention.

Your people responsibilities - as a manager and team leader you will :

- Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the onshore audit team.

- Review the work of junior team members to ensure Services quality and documentation standards are adhered to.

- Enable the development of junior team members by coaching them to develop their technical and soft skills.

- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

- Contribute to the overall community of the Services team, for example in areas like training, cultural events, recruitment, development of new templates and techniques.

You will need to :

- Have experience working with Big 4 or larger domestic Indian companies in Statutory Audit

- Preferred to have experience serving a hedge fund, mutual fund or private equity client is an advantage

- Have advanced written and verbal communication skills

- Have robust logical and reasoning skills

- Demonstrate strong dedication to teamwork

- Demonstrate integrity within professional environment
