Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree with an emphasis in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related financial field Credit for at least 6 Actuarial Examinations. Completion of additional actuarial examinations is a plus
- 3+ years of relevant actuarial experience in the areas of general insurance like US GAAP, IFRS, pricing or Solvency II.
- Knowledge of capital modeling tools like Igloo and analytical tools like SAS, R and SQL is preferred.
- A desire to develop and integrate quantitative skills within a required scope of designing and implementing business services
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop working knowledge of engagement objectives and the client's language/industry terms.
- Actively provide guidance to junior team members in the areas of products, valuations, and modeling
- Active delegation and execution of work while maintaining strong focus on quality, timeliness, and effective communications
- Pro-actively providing inputs to the team management on processes, quality, and overall team performance improvements
- Maintain strong focus in finishing Actuarial exams along with developing a strong subject matter experience
- Maintain a strong client focus and maintain/develop productive working relationships with clients and other team members.
- Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client.
