Assistant Manager - ABS Investment Research - Real Estate - CFA

Key Responsibilities:

- Predominantly working closely with senior credit analysts to cover the commercial property sector(REITs & CMBS).

- Assist in the due diligence and financial modelling process for both primary & secondary debt opportunities.

- Assist in the modelling and analysis of underlying collateral and subsequent bond structure, and

- review of legal structures, third party reports and documentation.

- Assist with initial deal set up, regulatory analysis and ongoing bond/loan and asset monitoring.

- Design and develop monitoring reports required to provide insights to fund managers

- Involvement in research and analysis of REITs and property companies.

- Assisting in written preparation of internal credit research and market updates on bonds and property companies.

- Preparation of credit documentation for investment credit committees.

- Coordination between and interaction with multiple stakeholders across the investment business.

- Support our commitment to on-going ESG development, tracking and reporting.

Skills Required :

- 2-4 years of experience in performing either credit analysis on CRE loans, CMBS or valuation of the underlying real estate assets themselves.

- Excellent knowledge of financial statements/ratio analysis/accounting principles and concepts.

- MRICS or similar associated real estate/finance qualification is helpful.

- Experience at a property consultancy or rating agency is desirable.

- Basic knowledge of market real estate fundamentals in UK and key European markets.

- Display flexibility and the ability to work independently, yet balanced with M&G's team based approach.

- Ability to work under pressure to tight fixed deadlines maintaining attention to detail.

- Strong quantitative aptitude, proven analytical skills and logical analytical thought process, strong attention to detail.

- Power BI knowledge is desirable.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Educational Qualification :

- MBA from a reputed institute.

- CFA Level 2 or 3 qualification.
