Job Mission: To be a custodian and drive trade business delivery and documentation portfolio.
Principal Responsibility:
Transport Opportunity:
- Create opportunity through service providers namely shipping line, Airlines, Handling agents & forwarders for procuring competitive freight both long term and short term and services.
- File long term or short-term contract with shipping lines based on volumes projections.
- Monitor vendor documentation and service performance.
- Engage with vendors to create opportunity and freight benefits for the company
Supplier Management:
- Supplier deviations of shipments and document delivery be highlighted to sourcing teams.
- Engage with suppliers on service exceptions and drive corrective steps to facilitate inhouse documentation and delivery.
- Drive corrective actions on deviations of delivery caused by suppliers
Documentation Management:
- Monitor team's performance of supplier documents, pre-shipment, post shipment and Final documents accuracy and consistency.
- Manage error free LC documents.
- Drive Teams understanding and meet up to the compliance and destination country requirements.
- Time bound delivery of documents prior.
Banking Performance Management:
- Monitor Hongkong and London bank retirement time and documentation performance.
- Drive corrective actions on deviations.
Delivery Management:
- Supervise the delivery process management including materials and documents as per agreed terms
- Monitor performance deviations and drive corrective steps.
Team Management:
- Drive team performance to achieve individual objective.
- Conduct appraisal and team review.
- Recruit and develop team members.
- Create New logistics teams as per business needs
- Stakeholder and End Customer Engagement
- Engage with countries to capture the delivery/documentation challenges.
- Drive improvement through an engagement module.
- Circulate Performance and Deviation report on every fortnightly and monthly basis.
- Any other engagement which is required to boost improvement in process not limited to system developments, template creation, training, etc.
- Knowledge and Experience: 10 to 15 years of SCM experience
