Assistant General Manager (Commercial /Business Finance)
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead financial and commercial matters, influence decision-making, improve business performance, develop and deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities.
- Ensure consistent commercial practices, processes, systems and controls are built across the organization.
- Define and lay down policies to ensure system and control processes.
- Create and own the annual operating budget.
- Work with the business to ensure all initiatives planned in the budget are on track.
- Provide monthly sales and P&L reporting, budget/forecast preparation and provide regular updates on key business financial metrics.
- Ensure compliances with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Do a comprehensive evaluation of spends and drive ROI mindset.
- Proactively identify areas to maximize value and profitability by driving commercial analysis.
- Work with the business to identify key risks and opportunities and ensure these are mitigated.
- NPD costing and profitability
- Interact with leadership team to review actual results and variances to budgets and forecast and advise on opportunities to reduce costs, investigating variances further.
- Manage the entire planning process for the full P&L, including operating plans and long-term forecasts.
- Be the finance controller for Sales team, periodic review of customer claims, provisions, other commercial hygiene matters. Ensure adherence to processes for monitoring discount spends, budgets and identify opportunities for trade margin optimization.
- Ensure accurate provisioning is being done for trade promotions, set up the right systems/ processes.
- Drive strong analytics on pricing, promotions, competition benchmarking.
- Review of agreements and finalizing the key terms.
Minimum Qualifications : CA Qualified with 7+ years' experience. Preferable Pharma + Consumer business background
