Assistant Director -RMNCH+A and Family Planning - New Delhi

Key Responsibilities:

1. To take lead in overall management of all RMNCH+A programmes undertaken by the organization.

2. Provide technical and strategic support to system workforce especially for system strengthening initiatives

3. Provide technical guidance to the project team for quality and effective implementation.

4. Develop proposals, concepts note, budgets and tech led innovations for building new partnerships.

5. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure result oriented project implementation and meaningful budget utilization

6. Advocate with state government officials to ensure their ownership in the initiatives.

7. Lead meetings and interactions with key authorities for regular update sharing and review sessions.

8. Guide project team/partner institutions in preparing work schedules on a regular basis and maintain necessary documentations.

9. Support M&E team for developing project indicators to measure project progress and results.

10. Documentation of project collaterals including best practices, lessons learned, and reflective learning in the periodic report.

11. Conduct monitoring visits and provide inputs to assure maintenance of quality standards.

12. Analyze financial and physical progress report and take proactive corrective measures for improving output.

13. Ensure compliance to the reporting structure and timelines while keeping reporting Deputy Director updated on the progress and achievement.

14. To contribute in various evidence generation and research work of organization.

Qualifications: Applicants must have either a Medical Graduate/ Public Health/ Social Science degree from a recognized university. Post Graduate/Doctoral degrees will be preferred.

Good understanding of government policies and Programmes is highly preferred.

Experience: 7-10 years of progressive experience in the health sector with demonstrated ability in technical areas that includes MCH / RCH, family planning, Adolescent Health, and other social determinants of health.

Skills and Attributes:

Candidates must have command over advocacy skills, measurement frameworks and monitoring besides leadership capacity. Skills in communication, data management and analytical functioning are an asset.

- The person should also have past experience of public health initiatives with government and other stakeholders at state / national / international level.

- In depth experience in result-based monitoring and evaluation of the projects

- Individual should also possess strong leadership and project site team mentoring experience.

- Should have good understanding of concept development and proposal writing.

Required Skills & Attributes:

Skills required include- developing comprehensive implementation plan, capacity building, donor communication and management, team handling, decision taker. Excellent computer skills especially data analysis through software / apps is essential. Passion and drive to improve and achieve.

Language: Fluency in English and Hindi.
